Last week was the end of year concert for the school and the kids had a great time doing a bush dance to entertain us. Then the parents were "encouraged" to join in the madness on the dance floor. Sorry, I don't have any picture to show you the fun they all had but the lighting wasn't really good!! Casey was given the class award for the Year 1 & 2. She was stoked to get a Big Book of Tashi stories, a certificate and a cheque for $20.
Only 3 more days of school - yeah !!!

Dance concert 2010

On Saturday night we were delighted and entertained by Casey & her friends at their end of year dance concert. It was gorgeous and all the kids had huge smiles all the way through the performance. It's been great to see the inprovement in all the kids this year and then to get up to an audience of over 120 people without any nerves - it was wonderful !!

In the last 10 days we have added a two new pets to the household. The low maintenance one is Alvin the Siamese fighting fish - he is replacing Fred the Red fighting fish we had a few months ago.
The other fluffy one is a feral kitten that Kyle found in the chicken yard. She had two brother but they didn't survive. I guess she is only about 4-5 weeks old and was very weak and hungry when we found her. Not sure what happened to the mother or why they were left in the chook house. She's been called Kit Cat. (note the K C connection again !! )
Kade just loves her - sometimes a little tooooo much - squeeeeeeze !!

Richard's BIG dog, Zeus was a great play mate for Kade a few weekends ago. He didn't even mind being mistaken for a small horse at one stage !!

St Paul's Cathedral

footy, tennis, rugby - you name it, Melbourne has it.

Federation Square

Eureka Tower

Flinders Street Station

Just had a wonderful few days in Melbourne. There is lots to see and even lots more to buy. The people were really friendly and the whole place has a great "feel".

Jurien Hockey trip 2010

The girls got together recently to let their hair down after a great hockey season where we finished as very worthy runners-ups. The theme for the weekend was "colours". And boy we're we colourful !!

The boys being boys !!

Gum Tree Bay

On a cool, windy sunday we met up with friends for a bbq picnic at the coast. It was a great day - even if Kyle couldn't quite get the cast out over the seaweed

The original ride-on mower

Kade found the perfect spot on the mower. With all the yard work still in progress, the mower probably won't be needed for some time yet !

Ball pit fun

Our happy kids. Casey had her hair braided "bali" style but I wasn't patient enough to do more than 10 braids.
"Super Fish" Kyle won the intermediate championship for Three Springs faction carnival. He then went on to swim at Eneabba in the interschool carnival and did a fantastic job.

The Teune family came up for a catch up over the Easter break and with quad bikes got a work out on the track. The cooler weather made for a great weekend.
